Overview

A highly requested feature, and one that our professional services team often puts a lot of work into, is the ability to improve content layouts on larger screen sizes and provide more layout variation without complicated feed changes. To address this we have developed a new CMS plugin, called Timeline Layouts.

There are 2 versions which we'll explain below, each of which will suit different needs. Both provide a new content type - 'Timeline Layouts' and allow extensive timeline customisation. The new content type allows you to create a template that you can apply to multiple collections as you wish.

Below you can see the same layout (using Timeline Layouts Lite), applied to all 3 defined screen sizes, alongside their respective views in the CMS.

Timeline Layouts

Timeline Layouts is our full timeline curation and layout solution featuring various additions and changes to your CMS experience.

When turned on your timeline edit view will change to allow for the new curation features added.

Timeline Layouts Lite

Timeline Layouts Lite is our solution for improving your timeline layout, without having extensive curation or changes to the CMS that you may be used to.

When turned on you will gain the ability to create layouts via the content type mentioned at the top of the page. Once you've created one you're happy with, you can go to a timeline and apply your chosen layout to it.
