Access to Google Search Console
This applies clients who have Pugpig Site.
Google Search Console, previously known as Webmaster Tools, is a tool that allows us to check the indexing and ranking status of a website on Google. Put simply, it helps us see how Google views your site.
Additionally, it offers an easy place to view your Core Web Vitals performance; included in the Google Search Console are a group of factors that Google considers important for user experience and will use these as ranking factors in search. Any issues will be highlighted here.
We need access to your Google Search Console so that we can:
- Check that sitemap has been submitted for indexing.
- Check that your site has been indexed and that all pages are indexed
- Check your core web vitals and correct any issues that are flagged
- Identify any pages that Google is having problems with
Adding Pugpig as a user to Google Search Console
If you have already set up Google Search Console all you need to do is give us access (if not, go to the next step). To do so, add analytics@kaldorgroup.com with publishing rights. You can find more information about adding users here.
Setting up Google Search Console
If you have not yet set up Google Search Console for your site, there are several options for validating ownership. Our recommendation is to use the domain level verification if possible, though this does require some technical know how and access.
Other alternatives include verifying via GTM or GA access, which is very quick and easy but does require the site to be live.
You can follow the instructions for verification here, or discuss with us at any point during the project
