              Major changes

              Enhanced user control over notifications

Useful for: Your product and audience teams

We've created a new preference centre for your users to highlight the topics that they're most interested in. Users who opt in to specific topics will have a tag assigned to them in your push provider dashboard, allowing you to send targeted and curated pushes to particular audiences and improve your push engagement.

While the new preference centre is currently only available for OneSignal customers, we plan to expand it to other providers soon.

Who's affected: Bolt customers using OneSignal as their push provider.

What you need to do: Reach out to your Customer Success Manager to update your Bolt product to iOS 4.1 or Android 4.0 and to configure your push preference centre for you.

              Choose how you read

              Useful for: Your product team

When viewing edition content in a landscape orientation we present it as a double page spread, more reminiscent of traditional physical edition reading. However some users prefer to always read a single page digitally, regardless of device size, so we've added a setting to allow users to choose to keep the dynamic double page flow, or to always read content as single pages.

Who's affected: All Bolt customers with double page edition content.

What you need to do: Update your app to iOS 4.1 or Android 4.0 and let us know if you would like to add this setting item for you.

              Fine tune your analytics reporting

              Useful for: Your analytics team

We have many analytics events and while all have a purpose they may not all be as useful to some as they are to others, especially if your analytics provider has an event quota. Because of this we've added the option to opt out of certain Pugpig analytics events so you only need to see the ones that matter most to you.

              Who's affected: All Bolt customers.

What you need to do: Update your app to version 4.1 and let our Customer Support team know which events you would like to opt out of.

              More ways to show ads

              Useful for: Your advertising team

To expand our supported Google ads suite, we have added full page interstitial advert capability on app launch, which can have particularly high visibility and engagement compared to our existing ad types.

Who's affected: Any Bolt customer wanting to use full page Google ads

What you need to do: Update your app to iOS 4.1 or Android 3.24 and enquire about configuration details.
